The Chechkal Cluster is a star cluster in the Berol grid within the Andromeda Galaxy; It exists along the intersection between Berol, Trentas, and Jolfur and is the seat of power of the Kyekna United Monarchies. The cluster is home to about 24 star systems.
While most of the systems are claimed and monitored by the Kyekna, only 5 are permanently inhabited by them. The most notable stars are Chroliaden and Kakoonal.
The first advanced civilizations in the Chechkal cluster were the Maganulum, who fought an internal nuclear war leading to the complete annihilation of any habitability of their home planet, leaving behind the CHKC-27 AIs.
The Kyekna entered space during the Fourth Era, soon allying themselves with the Cheripodi and eventually engulfing their civilization as a protectorate.
More recently, the Chaos Crisis occurred, and the Stone Rings in the cluster became a point of contest during the Stone Ring Conflicts.
